Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: 26th August 2026

Our Commitment

Mypower Foundations is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disability, older people, and people using assistive technology. As a provider of disability and aged care support services, accessibility isn't just good practice for us - it reflects the values we bring to our work every day. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the internationally recognised standard referenced by the Australian Human Rights Commission's guidance on web accessibility under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth).

Conformance Status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard, but we are actively working through a remediation plan to address every known issue.

What We've Done

As part of an ongoing accessibility review, we have made improvements including:

  • Rewriting unclear or repeated link and button text (e.g. "read more") so that every link's purpose is clear on its own
  • Adding descriptive text alternatives to images across the site
  • Correcting form field labelling on our contact form so it works properly with screen readers
  • Improving the structure of headings and lists so the page is easier to navigate with assistive technology
  • Reviewing colour contrast, keyboard navigation, and mobile display settings, including enabling pinch-to-zoom and text resizing on mobile devices

Known Limitations

We're aware of the following areas that still need work, and they form part of our active remediation plan:

  • Some documents on our Policies and Procedures page are provided as PDFs that have not yet been individually checked and remediated for accessibility (e.g. proper tagging for screen readers). If you need a policy document in an alternative accessible format, please contact us using the details below and we will provide one.
  • Some areas of the site are still being tested for full keyboard and screen reader compatibility.

We are committed to resolving these issues and will update this statement as they are addressed.
